Open to sewists of all levels, home school students will use sewing machines as they work at their own pace on learning to sew. Fabric will be provided, but we ask students bring a working machine (including power cord, pedal and owner’s manual) and a sewing kit (pins, measuring tape, marking tools, fabric scissors, ruler). We do have a limited number for students to use should they need a machine or other tools. Ages 7 and up.

Have project you need some help with? Maybe you just want to get out the house and hang with some fellow sewists and crafty people. Whatever your craft, come hang out the first Wednesday of every month at Sew Sew Cville. We have studio machines, tables and snacks. Knitters, cross-stitchers, needlepointers and crochet artists as well as sewists are all welcome!

Wednesday, October 7, 5:30-7:30

Geared towards beginners, this 3 week series with Becky will cover the components of working with a sewing machine as we make a variety of items as you learn basic techniques. Students will bring a working machine (including power cord and pedal) but if they don’t have one, we can provide one. A sewing kit (pins, measuring tape, marking tools, fabric scissors, ruler) is suggested, but not required.

Class runs for three Wednesday evenings, 5:30-7:00 pm beginning Wednesday, October 14. Class will be held October 14, October 21 and October 28.

Meet new sewing friends and knock out some projects without the distractions of home. Come spend a Saturday afternoon with fellow sewists in the studio at Sew Sew Cville. You can start a new project, ask questions of your fellow sewists or maybe just bring that WIP that's been sitting there for a little too long. We'll inspire each other as we spend our afternoon playing with fabric. Sew Sew Cville has equipment and table space and snacks will be provided.

Saturday, October 17, Noon to 5 pm
